Vega box and arm

Hi Ron. I just got around to mounting the steering box and arm today. It looks like I don't have enough clearance between the arm and the frame. Only 3/16 inch. I have the box as far out as it will go. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to bend the arm? Thanks for the help.

I rotated the box as far as it will go and now have about 1/2 inch. Is this enough clearance?

We just bend the arm a little bit, to get some clearance

Smokey, are you using the Vega box in a cross steer set up? If so, you should have no problem with clearance. You can stop by my place and check how I did mine if you like. I'm only about 50 miles from you.

No it is traditional steering.

Thanks Jim, it is traditional as Ron said. I think just a little tweak on a brake press should do it.
