This has been an interesting day. I finally laid my hands on a Beta test version of a donation manager, to replace the system we used on that "other" software.
But that "other" software had a convoluted permissions matrix, that was exactly opposite vBulletin's matrix. It took me several hours to sort all of those permissions out, when we converted to it. And now, XenForo uses permissions the same way vBulletin did. So I've been going back through, trying to get everything set back up as it was in the beginning.
This XenForo donations manager will do usergroup promotions, but it has to interface with the native XenForo promotions core to do it. Which meant all of those usergroups had to be corrected, before I could install the manager.
In vBulletin, if someone donated, it added them to a secondary usergroup. With the "other" software, a donation would change their primary usergroup. And now, this system does the same as vBulletin, a donation adds a member to a secondary usergroup. So any of the members in anything other than the Registered primary group had to have their usergroups adjusted. Even as the admin, I am in the Registered usergroup, but the XenForo core looks at my secondary placements in the Administrative and moderating usergroups, to get my permissions. My brain is jangling with all of it.
And now, I need to re-code all the CSS usergroup ribbons that appeared in the Sponsor and Donating members' postbits. <sigh> No rest for the wicked, I suppose.
As for the new Donation Manager, I've added all the donating members from this month, so they numbers and the graph are accurate. If anyone has any problems with using the new system, please post in the Support forum, available through the NavBar.
