What is it like to drive a T bucket on a NASCAR track?

Well, if they don't allow you to exceed about 60 mph, it's fun, but not heart-poundingly exciting.

But this is what it looks like.

I drove mine on Charlotte Motor Speedway. We were not allowed to pass the pace car that was cruising at about 85, however, nothing was said about dropping back and getting on it playing "catch up". My car handled GREAT and it was really FUN! Had a couple of muscle cars play with me but they posed no real threat.

Mike, did you happen to check how fast we were on the Nascar track in NC? I know I just about floated a valve on my engine, so I was maxed out. Never had that engine at that high of an RPM before, or since.

When GoodGuys came to Indianapolis I was fortunate enough to make 2 trips around the infamous Indianapolis Motor Speedway some of my friends work there as Safety Patrol and IMS Security. So not only was this my first road trip (120 miles round trip) but it was also my first real car show. I was grinning from ear to ear when I rolled under the tunnel at the speedway an experince I will never forget.

Scott,

I just read about this in Street Rodder, sounds like fun. Hope to get there next year.

No, I didn't think it was all that fast, but then, I had 5 people in the car, too!
