1926 Model T RPU

so this is where i change things up
i dont like the idea of a wood floor and fiberglass body to keep me and my passenger safe.
I am going to build a steel subframe and an internal cage.

But to keep the seats as low as possible in the body i am going to flush mount the steel floor to the top of the frame rails.
 
i am using 1.25" X .188 wal DOM tube with 3/16 sheet steel.

I started by bending up some tube that follows the bottom of the body lines.







 
That extra width is going to be nice. Yours is going to have about the same amount of transmission in the body as mine. Wish I had that extra room. Guess I still could...
 
yes, nothing will hang below the frame rails. so everything has to come up into the passenger area.

I like the the body proportions better now also...
 
This appears to not be your first rodeo as far as fabrication. Nice, clean, well thought out work. Do you have any projections on what total weight will be?
