August 2011 So-Cal T's Fun Run

Although summer is still a few months away, I want to make sure all of you have plenty of time to plan for the 7th Annual So-Cal T’s Fun Run. This year we will be starting on Friday, Aug. 5 with an optional cruise down the coast for a tour of the Birch Aquarium http://aquarium.ucsd.edu/ then lunch somewhere to be determined. Those who don’t want to go to the aquarium can meet everyone else for or after lunch. Next we will cruise to Hot Rods and Custom Stuff in Escondido http://www.hotrodscustomstuff.com/ and tour the second half of the facility that we didn’t see last year. We will wrap up the day with an evening at Cruisin’ Grand, which for the uninitiated, is the large Friday night get-together in old town Escondido. There are usually 400 or so pre-1974 hot rods to see, and we will be the host club with reserved parking for all T-buckets.

Saturday is a cruise down the coast which will end at the North Embarcadero Marina Park on San Diego Bay. There are pictures and a short description here:

Please remember that we have to turn in the T-shirt order by July 2, so you need to have your application in before then to receive an event T-shirt. You can register later than that, even at the event, however we may not have extra shirts available.

It's going to be a lot of fun, hope to see you there.

I just want to once again remind everyone who might possibly be able to join us in August for the Fun Run (details above) to please get your registration form filled out before July 2 so that we can have a T-shirt printed for you. It is going to be a lot of fun, and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone.
