Baron and Tucker Hot Rods

I was just flipping thru the November issue of Street Rodder and ran into an ad on page 188 from Baron and Tucker Hot Rods....selling 23 T chassis and body kits.

Interesting pic, it looks very similar to the old Bird Automotive ads of yesteryear....of which I'm still kicking myself for not taking advantage of those prices in the early 70s.

It was the Total Performance ads of the early 70's that got me hooked on T-Buckets in the first place. Took me long enough to get one, but I finally did.

i let my Street Rodder subscription lapse a couple months back. Can't really say it was any one thing in particular, but I found I just wasn't bothering to read it any more.

I know what you mean. I'll flip thru SR at the magazine stand and buy one if it's got anything of interest.....probably one in every three issues these days.

don't bother ordering their flyer i wasted five bucks. really disapointed a one page flyer ,had three kits with prices. maybe they will pick it up some

Thanks for the memories. My first mini bike was a Bird and I think the roller was $ 39.00 with everything but the clutch and engine in 1968. While we drool over those prices and long for those days $ 200 bucks was hard to come up with back then. Nebraska had a fair amount of skilled manufacturing in the '50's and '60's. Cushman scooters was in Lincoln too. Probably were Speedy Bill found some of his craftsman. Now he looks overseas.
