Disc Brake Issues

I just replaced the front rotors and pads on my Wilwood 4 piston system. The pads "drag" all the time causing the rotors to get very hot. The CCR system came with a dual master cylinder that I think is a chevy type and the brake lines came with a 2 lb residual valve in the front lines. A residual valve will keep pressure on the front pads and they never seem to lose contact with the rotors. With the front wheels off the ground, the wheels do not spin freely due to the pads dragging.

Is the residual valve necessary? How do you tell if the MC has a residual valve internally?

I don't think the front pads should drag all the time ... maybe a call to Wilwood is in order.
