Floor mats keep moving

Hi guys
For all of you that have floor mats I'm looking for some ideas to keep them from moving around. I tried felcro and that's not working. What do you guys do? I actually thought about getting rid of them all together.

In my wife's car, the mats are held in place by small "mushroom" pins in the corners, with corresponding holes in the mats, reinforced with grommets. The holes in the mat fit over the pins and that keeps it from sliding. I'm thinking you could make your own "mushroom" pins by modifying a small cabinet drawer pull.

Anyone have a suggestion for higher quality mats for my 1923? When I purchased the car the builder put a thin one in that constantly shifts. I thought about taking the piece currently in there and taking to a custom dash mat store but don’t want to buy another cheap thin option.
