Wiring is about 95% done. Gauges are all that is left. This is the turn signal switch I used that is mounted on the console.

I really like that very modern looking turn signal switch. Looks like a rocker type.

I won't be ready for this years Bucket fest in Kentuc, but I will be ready for the Tennessee Fall Rod Run in September. Since my battery is under the passenger seat, I need access for a trickle charger so I put the external posts just hidden under the back of the bucket. Pretty easy access and invisible from behind.

I built the dash finally. Only the instruments are not wired yet, everything else is done. Horn honks, signals work, lights work, battery charges, pretty basic.

Sally is so low, I decided I didn't need a door after all so I deleted it.

I put fiberglass floor pans right under the seats to seal the cab. The real floor pan is a big piece of aluminum that you can see in this pic. Body still comes on and off pretty easy.

Paint should be next week and I have the colors picked out. Brace yourselves.Something like this. Purple flame tips on green flames. Anybody done flames? Me neither but I plan to lay them out.

This is what my seats look like and I plan to match that same diamond pattern all the way around the inside of the bucket. The interior should be done by Sept 1. Now I am on a timeline. I already booked my room right on the strip in Pigeon Forge. I was there last year for the Shades of the Past run and they tell me that was the "little" run and it looked to me like at least 1000 cars. the following weekend "Fall Rod Run" is even bigger I am told.

Good photos of your progress. I have done lots of flame paint jobs when I had my cycle shop. Not hard to do, but always look your masking job over good for shapes.

Thanks much. I have laid out stripes and simple designs back when I was painting bikes but never anything as elaborate as flames. Leave that Oklahoma heat for a bit and come out to Tennessee, you can help me paint. : )

My bucket is pretty low as well and I can still get in it at 77 yrs. The reveal around the body is 30" off the floor. No doors!

Height has something to do with it. Age has a little more to do with it! The older you get, the less agile you are. Some years ago, my father in law was visiting. My wife suggested I take him for a ride in my bucket. He was maybe 70ish years old. I had to get the step stool out so he could get his leg up and over to get in. No doors!
Today, I'm that age and I'm having the same problem getting in. I removed the top at allow easier access. That was just one more hurdle to overcome. I refuse to use the step stool!! At least for now.

Spanky, Nesh, keep climbing in! I'm 77 and fat and I have worked out a sequence such that I can enter with a bit of grace. And if I move fast no one sees the tricks.
