Offline for a while

We had some serious storms march through here, last night. When I got home this morning, I had no InterTubez connection. I was on hold with the phone company for 79 minutes, when the phone line shot craps.

When I finally got through to the phone company, they gave me the delightful news that it could take as much as a week to get service restored. Yippee-flippin'-skippy.

If I don't get back in here beforehand, everyone please have a safe and happy holiday. I am really hoping this won't be a week-long process, but I will see all of you when I see you. Mods, you know the drill, and you know I am behind you all the way.

Your respite was brief. I am back, after only facing a single day with no connection.

I just had to suffer for 4 days without dsl. 2 full days and 2 days of hit and miss. Moles or gophers got my buried cable, and the modem had also died, probably from a power hit.
