If you get a chance go to the Indy 500 track and museum. The old race cars, the engines, the machine work. It is just fantastic. No CAD or CNC stuff there. It was all hand made, and only a very few where made. Garlits has a good museum too.
Ron, those were amazing years that we will never see again. More's the pity.
Not to take anything away from anyone today, but in a day and age when you just pick up the telephone and order what you want, something very special has been lost.
