Sounds good. I take it this is a roller cam motor because you are letting it idle, or maybe you aready broke in the cam ?

allready ran it for the break in, its hard to run it for 20 min. and during break in i had 2 water leaks.

Oh Lucky you got it going nothing like the sound of a BBF !! I hope to get my 460 Monday or Tuesday ,, first engine I have not built myself in years,,

the water leaks , first one the o ring on the thermostat neck had to put a gasket on it and the second was a plug on the intake had to replace with a new one . if anyone is interested i have another gilmer belt drive brand new with belt 75.00 and i have a used dual point dist. 65.00 plus shipping . yes the bbf sounds good it has the muther thumper cam, i am going to run engine this way for the summer and at the end of the season i am going to put a blower on it

I had a Muther Thumper cam in my last bucket it has a 351W it sounded Bad as but changed it out and put a RPM in it ..that cam only had about 2 hours on it.
