23 Willys change up

Not being picky, but consider what will happen if some shmo not paying attention rear ends you and the chances of those fuel lines/fittings were to break with just a light tap.

There would be up to ten gallons of fuel trickling on the road, lol.
I do have a piece of 4" aluminum pipe that I've been thinking about making a tube bumper with, I just want to make sure it will look right or not put it on at all though.

OK, got the turnouts in the mail today.
Started by cutting the "cap" off the end of the glaspack.

Then cut the housing back to the length I needed it with the turnout on.

Put the "cap" back on the end of the shortened glaspack.

Cut the excess length out of the perforated tube.

Dressed the weld down so the turnout will fit.

Tried it on the car. I think it will look good painted satin black yet

Thats pretty good. I gutted my glasspacks and stuffed the whole inside into my side pipes, makes a huge difference in the sound. Much more comfortable to cruze in.

I'm too cheap for side pipes, lol.

I'm not too thrilled with the $8 can of VHT "satin" black. It's too glossy, but I'm sure it will fade down.

Today, I got my rear tires in the mail. I rushed home over lunch hour and mounted them up, so I could get them balanced somewhere on the way home from work tonight.

Thanks. I've been running those late model tires ever since I built the car a few years ago because they were cheap at the time. I'm tickled to go back and change things to the way I intended, but couldn't afford all at once at the time.
Now I need to get fronts some time.
