Body measurements

Does anyone know the body measurements of the original steel 1923 Model T? SCTA requires that in the modified roadster class the body be original or an exact replica. I don't want to put a ton of money into this car only to be sent home. If seen pictures of a couple of t-bucket racers and they are using glass bodies so I don't think it will be a problem but I want to be sure I've touched all of the bases. Thanks

I recall that one of the Model T sites had a drawing that looked like a sliced in half T-bucket with various dimensions. Maybe somebody else has it. It certainly would be good to have.

On another note, I doubt the SCTA has an inventory of NASCAR-type templates for bodies going back 85 years. And, I'd guess 90% of buckets run the last 45 years were glass and probably 90% of them were clones of a glass, not steel bucket so dimensional accuracy may be an issue, although the original form has been preserved.

You're probably right. Sonny Rossi out of San Antonio runs a T powered by a Cosworth-Vega engine. I've emailed him to find out whose body he is using and hope to hear soon.
