so i've been reading and searching for info on getting a t bucket kit in or into canada and it don't sound so good, whats the deal, does anyone know. Even if i built one from scratch can i even drive it....man this just shattered my dreams... I'm lost

Importing vehicles into Canada can be a pain. It might be easier to get a T titled with an old date. Newer vehicles are allowed to have ZERO modifications to the suspension/chassis which where all the problem lies.

man i really hope it can be done. I called speedway motors they were really gung ho to sell me a kit but had no real clue about getting it over the border and went as far as to say "well just come get it yourself"...I'll just have to keep reading to try a figure how some of you guys have done what you done...

Airbag we have sent many into Canada with no issue. We have shipped from tbucket kits, c-cab kits, Model A's bodies and '34 body and chassis. The chassis was assembled for the '34. Most of the kits we have sold in Canada go to Alberta. It is easier if it is unassembled chassis. The '34 took a little bit longer but it went across.

Go to the Canadian Rodder website, they have an article on bringing in vehicles to Canada and getting them licensed. I know that you cannot bring kit cars newer than 15 years into the country. They also cannot come in unassembled (all from the same supplier) unless listed as parts. They want you to buy all the parts here and don't want all parts from the same supplier south of the border . Anyway look up the site. Lots of pages to read and really informative. May save you a lot of headaches and grief.
