There is now a module on the Portal page that will show you the current weather conditions, as reported by The Weather Channel.
It is a simple task to edit your Options to show the weather.
Look up in the NavBar and click on User CP
In the left column, click on Edit Profile
Scroll near the bottom of the page and enter your Zip Code in the required field, then at the very bottom, click on Save Changes.
Now, when you are logged in, the module will display the current weather conditions for your area.
