Dad's bucket

Hi there,
First time poster. My dad passed away in 2020 and I've been left with his t-bucket. I'm not equipped to maintain it and unfortunately it needs a new home. Here is the listing on classic cars.com

33k??? Good luck with that.

I believe that's really low considering what's been put into it and considering it's a metal car. What's a fair price in your opinion?
I'm looking to sell it and realistic about what it is. The market for hot rods is not great and t-buckets even worse. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. It's a professional build by hot rods and custom stuff in Escondido, CA not a garage project.

OK, I'm going to guess, mostly because I want to see if anyone has better ideas. Green T-bucket, if it had a fiberglass body - $14K - $16K. With an all steel body maybe $17 - $18K. Have you put a magnet on that body? From the pictures it looks to me like a glass body with a steel bed.

It's full steel, not only have I put a magnet on it, I was there for the full restoration. If you look at the pics on the listing you'll see part of the restoration. The radiator shell is original as well. The interior is 100% Italian leather which cost north of 5k. Like I said this isn't someone's garage project it's a professional build.

It was in yearly (sometimes twice a year when they added the Nov. show) attendance at the Good Guys show in Del Mar. Once something one year but my Dad didn't pick up the award due to a sudden health issue.
I'm happy to answer any questions. Stainless hardware among lots of other touches.

Jimbo, it's a beautiful example. I hope you get your money out of it.
I did post it over on the HAMB, so it's got eyes on it over there too.
If you look online, even at the site it's listed, it is in the upper end of the pricing.
It has history and features that set it apart from the norm, but the market is pretty tight.
This is especially true of what you can consider hobby cars.

I appreciate it RodStRace. My dad put way more money (100k+) in this car than he should if resale was the motivator but he loved it which is all that counts. The feedback has been great, I was originally told 50k should be no problem however it hasn't moved and I want to make sure I'm being fair and realistic.

The number of cars that you can reliably put money into and get it back out is very low.
If that was how it worked, the wealthy would be doing it daily to increase their wealth.

So long as your dad enjoyed the car and didn't live in bad conditions to accomplish it, it's value was his happiness.

I am working on one and while I'd dream of all chrome and stainless, a steel body and beautiful paint, it also must be within my means and as someone said recently, "One day ride, three days cleaning" about restored motorcycles, that isn't my style.

Yeah tell me about it. We use to carry a small detail kit just for the ride from our house to the Del Mar show, so much cleaning. I'm not a big fan of chrome (at least a lot of it is stainless & aluminum) but I guess it's a generational thing. I'm more into going fast, looks are second.
We got this bucket in 1996 when I was fifteen. The restoration was completed in 1999 right after my high school graduation. The original car had a four speed manual. After it tried to kill us we started taking it apart and found a sh*t frame along with a nightmare cross member. The bed was glass and discarded, the frame, the front end, the rear end, and tranny were all dumped. The bed is from a 25 and it houses a custom gas tank. I could on...good times.
