Forum downtime

Jelsoft has released an updated version of the vBulletin forum software, so we will be taking the forum down for the upgrade. We will try to make the upgrade late Friday evening (27 July) or early Saturday morning (28 July).

If you get a message saying the forum is closed, give us about 30-45 minutes and check back. We'll get in and out as quickly as possible.

In a word, no.

There were a half-dozen bugs squashed, none of which had reared their ugly heads here.

vBulletin is close to releasing an add-on blog script and they needed to modify some files to allow integration between the forum and the blogs. I think that was the primary reason for the upgrade.

What little bit I've seen of the new vB Blog makes me really happy we decided to invest in vBlogetin.
