Hey all,
could someone measure a 48" drop axle with spindles and rotors installed? I need to know the measurement from wheel mounting surface of the rotor to the other side. Just need a ballpark average due to differences in ford and chevy rotors etc........ruggs

If you need a narrower axle with the fenders ... talk to RPM ... I'm sure he can make whatever you need.

Ron

As close as I can tell without pulling my wheels is 57 5/8" wheel mounting face to wheel mounting face.

Jim

P.S. I'm using Chevy rotors and spindles.

Thanks EX-junk....................Youngster, doesn't seem like much gets past you. You are exactly right in knowing that I'm setting up track measurements for the fenders.............good call......ruggs

PS... if I can't get this all worked out I'll have to see if RPM can help, won't much matter, I would just as soon give the money to him than possibly some company in China.

You sould know that a Super Bell comes in 2 lengths also, 46" and 48".

Ron

Yes Ron,
I am aware of the two axle sizes I just couldn't find the measurement from kingpin center to rotor mounting surface. I haven't ordered the front wheels yet so with the correct numbers I can adjust with axle width and wheel offset.....ruggs (another Ron)

My 48" Super Bell axle with GM rotors and spindles is 57-5/8" as well. Guess that's no surprise! :)

Thanks Lee, confirmation is always good. If anyone out there is running a spring over axle there are a couple of numbers I could really use.............ruggs

Ron (RPM),
I've seen your parts and would be more than happy to buy my axle set-up from you however, I didn't see any axle overs on your website. I was really wanting a complete assymbly. Could you put one together? I'll have my tracking fiqures together in a couple more days but need more measurements to determine the proper drop in axle and/or crossmember........ruggs

good deal Ron, I'll call you next week........ruggs
