Hello from Missouri

Hot Rod

New Member
Just wanted to say Hello to all you Bucketheads.
After owning 3 different buckets I am presently bucketless due to a sever back condition.
I will say though that of all the different hot rods or street rods I have owned and driven in my life none of them gave me any more fun than any one of my buckets.
I may own another bucket, a stretched cab bucket, sometime in the future but right now it's not in the cards. I will get my bucket fix hanging out on the T-Bucket web sites.
Enough rambling for now.

Lee: No doubt it is worth the money, but I am not interested in another project. If and when I do another bucket it's going to have to be at the very least a stretched version or more than likely a tub design like Danny's down in Mt Home. Right now the way my back is just building anything would take me years, 2 hrs in the garage is about all I can hamdle at one struech, then I take a couple of pain pills and could care less if I get back to the garage or not. I am discussing some new stuff with my doctor now and after the 1st of the year will subject myself to a whole new battery of tests and maybe see if there is something new in the medical world that might help me.

Believe me you have no idea how much I would love to get my big butt back into a bucket!!!

Heres hoping that they can do something for your pain..No one understands what its like unless youve been there. I had a car wreck serveral years ago and have not been the same since,my inversion table helps relieve some of the tension and pain and so does the attens unit that shocks muscles with current ,still itchin to try to fish with it lol, with a fresh 9 volt it will stand your hair on its end and drop you to your knees. Hope you find some help soon. Take care InsomniacsHotRods

Welcome!

I guess many of us have back issues.
<

5 years ago in Feb that they chopped a piece of a squished disc out of me that was pushing on the spinal chord.
It had paralyzed one leg and was on it's way to doing the same to some of my innards.
I'm doing well now but I only have 3 or 4 hours of decent car-work time a day before I have to say that's enough. But I'm not interested in longer heavy work anyway.
<
Thankfully my job doesn't involve heavy stuff.
If it wasn't for the massage therapist (gentle.. no rough stuff), an amazing chiropractor (again.. gentle stuff) and a good surgeon I wouldn't be walking.
I got more joy out of a box of Smarties than I did out of Dilaudid and the other pain meds.
Sorry.. easy to get carried away (NO pun intended).
All that to say.. I hear ya and sympathize. Back pain ain't fun.
Here's hoping you get back your mobility soon.

:bubble: Back problems are not any fun, I have some titanium plates and screws in mine. They kept me out of a wheelchair. :yay:
