Hello. I'm new to the board. At this point, I am just a admirer of T Buckets. I would love to be an owner or builder of one some day. Unfortunately, I've lived 50 years without ever being much of a motor head. I know very little about cars, and what I know is all from reading, and I have no practical experience. My goal would be to assemble a 27 roadster with a Ford small block, but I'm afraid I would be way over my head, even using one of the more complete kits. For now, I'm just going to hand out here, and admire everyone else's handywork.

Welcome to the site. Just because you haven't been a motor head, doesn't mean you can't do it. You can build a kit that has all the engineering done if you know which way to turn the bolts and you have a 50 50 chance of getting that right. If you want it, you can get it. Go for it! IT WILL BE WORTH THE EFFORT!

I agree with John. Welcome and look around then check kits out by different sponsors here and see what you like best.

I suggest that you check with some of our sponsors. I believe that they all can supply you with a "complete" kit that you can build. They can also supply you with all the answers that you might need while building your dream ride. At least contact them and see what they have to offer. I'm sure that you won't be disappointed.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois Bill. Don't short change yourself, IMHO it's easier then ever to build assemble a car using basic hand tools (no welding required). Pick up a phone and call a couple of our sponsors, send for Speedway's T-Bucket catalog and turn you dream into reality.

:thumbsup:You have to start somewhere! It's never to late. take that first step!!!! there is so much help on our site. You will always regret it if you don't at least try!

Welcome aboard from Indy!

Another good option is to find sometime close to what you want already built and then personalize it. This will get you 80-90% there. This is what my Dad did when when he bought his '27. After driving it for a while, looking at other cars, and then figuring out what he wanted, we revamped the front end, put in a different motor and a few other upgrades.

Take your time! If you can read and follow instructions you won't have too much trouble. Make a list and make each step a task in itself. Completion of a series of small tasks is alot less overwhelming than trying to comprehend everything at once.

Where are you in SE PA? I am in the Northampton area. Welcome to the site and as said not to bad to build some of these kits are amazing and when you are done you will have years of enjoyment.

Hello from Illinois...If you hang around here long enough, you will get bit by the bug and cannot resist owning a "T" Bucket.

Hey WMG, I'm from Ephrata; half-way between Reading and Lancaster. I hope to get to Auto Mania in Allentown next month. Maybe I'll get started this year ;)
