I have a semi-finished Spirit T but want to install front suspension with power steering and a decent turning radius.

A short turning radius is a good idea but you might want to skip the power steering. If you can find someone with a completed bucket that will let you drive a little I think you will agree.

Welcome from St Louis. Short turning radii are not usually associated with straight axle front ends, but there are some things you can do to improve that. With T-buckets most people to want to lengthen the wheelbase for a more "comfortable" ride. However, shorter wheelbases will yield shorter turning radii. The other approach is to make sure there is no interference between front end components and the wheels & tires. and of course, good alignment settings (Ackerman) will help. 409's idea is a good one: drive a T-bucket and see how you like it. My turning radius, though not short, is no problem and the manual steering (Vega box) is very light at anything above a crawl.

Welcome to the family.

Hello come on over to Artesia the last week of May and I will let you drive one that has a 109 inch wheelbase and it works very good. You will also have about 50 or more Buckets to play with because that week is going to be the National T Bucket Nationals..........Come on over from Houston...........
