Finally got all the parts and peices in for the CNC plasma today. Cut out several parts. This thing does a great job of making accurate parts and does it very quick. I'll get some pics up in a day or two. We cut out a lot of just little brackets and tabs, some Corvair steering box mounts and some front shock mounts.

So if you need some brackets, tabs, or some special parts made give me a shout. We will be scanning all the popular brackets that everybody likes, from Youngster, CCR, and several others. Plus we have quite a few of our own.

It will cut 3/8" with no problem. We cut some rear radius rod hangars with it and they came out nice.

You can come to the Shades Rod Run with out the car. We will go to the show and leave the hot rod at home. Then go back in the bucket for the nightly cruising. It is a lot of fun cruising with several thousand old hot rods.

I will only charge a SLIGHT fee for this LOL.

If you want to pick up a couple of extra dollars you might want to build a couple of Volksrod front end extenders. I'm trying to come up with a nice design for mine and think you could probably manufacture a couple more if interested.

Here's the first design but I want to clean it up a little bit and make it a little lighter.

This extender moves the front axle out and extends the wheelbase about 8".

Hey Ron!

Do you happen to have any plans on brackets for steps on a Spirit build?
I plan on using Speedways steps (see attached) and their specs are:

  • 8-1/4" wide
  • 6-1/2" deep to the corner of the upward angle
  • Upward angle is approximately 45 degrees and 2-1/8"
  • Mounting holes are 7-11/16" center to center width
  • Mounting holes are 5-11/16" center to center in depth towards middle of car
