I though it might be interesting to start a new post shouting out to bucketeers we haven't seen or heard from for a while. Maybe they're busy, ill, disinterested, etc.
    I'll start it off.
We haven't seen or heard from EX JUNK for a while. Anyone know what happened or what he's up to?
Chime in as you see fit.

Cooter's on face book all the time, so I know he's OK. And I think I've seen ExJuk on there as well under another name. Unfortunately face book seems to get all the attention, but this forum is dedicated to Tbucketeers. And I'm GLAD! (I get sick of the fb garbage)

Unfortunately a LOT of people seem to have come to the conclusion they're better off on InYaFace Book! Got me stuffed why, cause it seems to have had major effects on Forums such as this. Every time I go in there (F/Book) I have to try and sort the fly shit from the pepper! I don't have a lot to offer but I enjoy reading about what the active people on here are doing, and maybe offering a suggestion here and there.
    Regards,

Facebook is a piece of crap, especially lately. It's turning into a soft core porn site! I can't believe some of the stuff that's on there! I'm a member but I never post anything. I might respond to a friend's birthday but that's about it.
It does seem that years ago there was more daily posts on this site compared to these days. If you watch any of those TV car shows, people are spending many thousands of dollars to have their rust bucket restored to better than new condition. That stuff is way out of my price range! I always said there are two kinds of people, those that know how to do it themselves and those that know how to write the check. If I can't do it myself, I don't do it.
I could go on but I'm tired of typing!

It’s dad that some t bucketeers just seem to evaporate. Never to be heard from again. It would be nice if there was a way to just know what happened to them.

I still pop in now and then to see whats happening here but it has dropped off for sure. I do use facebook a lot now but I would prefer to be on a message board. Facebook interaction is in your face and then its gone on to something else...usually never to be seen again. No matter how much effort you put in theres just no longevity in what you post. All just pointless blabber with no let up. Oh well...

Glad to see you posting, Hacker. These boards are only as good as the participants, so hope you'll keep checking in. You have a lot to contribute! :)

Cooter update: After surgery, Cooter reports on fb: "Finally feel good enough to try and finish this car. Been working on it since 2015!"

If you look on the MEMBERS tab, there's a lot of people I've never herd of before. There are many familiar names but a bunch of unknown to me members. I know that some members have moved on to the T Bucket garage in heaven and probably some have moved on to different hobbies.

For some people, a T-bucket is an entry-level hot rod, a stepping-stone to the ultimate street rod. For me, it is my dream come true! Some people ask if I am going to build another hot rod. I say, "Why? This is what I've always wanted!"

I agree with you, Spanky. Maybe T Buckets a stepping stone for the next level hot rod. Maybe their tastes have changed. Maybe they’ve changed direction and are no longer car people.

My favorite automotive community is going through the same thing. Our forum is very sparse right now and I'm getting worried about the current corporate owner deciding to just turn it off over lack of activity. The amount of great information lost would be a real tragedy.
The interface on these forums just doesn't translate to mobile operating systems very well, and unfortunately mobile is how most people do most of their computing now. Even Tapatalk and Autoguide are not very user-friendly.

I have only 3 social places that I visit, and this is one of them. Other 2 are hot rod forums. No other social places that I care to visit after my 1st 24 hours of being on facerook. Could not get away from that fast enough.
