A good tip for glassing : If you are going to glass an inside corner ; first apply plastic filler in the corner . Fiber glass will not negotiate a 90 degree bend. You have to radius the corner. I use the curved end of a tongue depressor to spread the plastic body filler evenly down the entire 90 degree corner. Now i have a radiused corner to lay my glass over. The glass will lay right in ( without a problem ). Plastic body filler bonds great to fiberglass. They're both plastic. G.M used plastic body filler on their early corvettes to bond the body panels together. HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL.

PS: You can make angle glass by using some angle iron. Make sure the inside of the angle iron is smooth & clean. Wax the inside surface or use spray on POL - EASE 2300. I use selvage edge fiberglass tape to lay inside the angle iron. DO NOT use the outside surface of the angle iron. Use the inside surface , it has a radiused corner. I am currently using 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" wide angle iron & 3" wide fiberglass tape. I'm getting great results with this method.

I recently purchased this : It's an h4 headlight conversion kit. I will install this kit inside my 1937 Dodge headlight housings.

1937 Dodge headlight buckets : The glass lenses were included. Now i have to make a pair of hood sides ( hope they'll be wacky ).

I use this method quite a bit for fillets. You can use any number of fillers to thicken the mix. Chopped fiberglass strands, talc, fumed silica, microspheres, etc.

But I use zip-lock freezer bags and just snip off the corner. There's lots of working time with epoxy. With polyester resin or body filler you have to work much faster.

I have a small jar of microspheres. I've used them one time before . I also use kitty hair for making radiused corners.

The fiberglass skull faces arrived yesterday & the h4 headlight conversion buckets arrived today. Here's some photos of the skull faces : I glassed in some fiberglass mat rings to the backside of the skull's faces. The faces are very thin & i know my t bucket body is thicker than the faces. The last photo shows the bowed bases of the skull faces.

Today 10-29-20 I added 2 more fiberglass mat rings to the backside of the skeleton faces. Now both skeleton faces have rings that are 4 layers thick. I think they'll mate up better with the fiberglass T body.

On Monday 11-02-20 , I plan to glass the 2 skeleton faces to my T bucket's body.

Leroy's shop is usually closed through the weekend. I have prepared the skull faces for their installation on Monday 11-02-20. I just made a list of items i'm going to need. I'll need 14 items.

Here's the list for Monday 11-02-20. Return the original unaltered door ( duct tape back in place). It's supposed to get up to 84 degrees that day.

Thanks for the likes guys ( rbsWELDER , James Lewis & Spanky ). I have a fairly large gap between the door well edge & the skull faces , i'm leaving some room for the wider door. The wider door will be glassed in place real soon.
