Let us know about that welder after you use it a bit. Even if it is not good it is still worth a try for the price.

Looks like false advertising. The "laser welder" appears to be a fancy solder gun. Look at the photo :

I keep seeing those ads on Facebook. They look interesting. If they work as advertised, it would be a great addition to your shop. Can’t wait to hear how they work!

The 4 spools of wire have the word SOLDER written on them. The handle of the gun also says MANUAL SOLDERING GUN . In the video the words welder & weld , are frequently used during the duration of the video. The video also claims you can cut metal with the gun. Appears to be BAIT AND SWITCH.

IMHO, it's also a play on words. Look at the handle of the soldering gun and you'll see the off/on power button. My guess is the trigger feeds the solder from the holder thru the tube to the end of the soldering gun. The tip of the soldering gun would heat the metal, squeeze the trigger to apply a little solder, move and repeat. WELD the two pieces of metal together with solder. And yes, I would be upset buying something advertised as a welder that welds metal only to find out it's nothing more than a fancy soldering iron.

Technically : soldering & brazing is a form of welding. The machine doesn't use a ground cable.

REMEMBERING WHAT I SAID IN MY LAST POST; I STILL SEE THIS AS FRAUD. A solder weld doesn't hold like a mig or tig weld. I carried the soldering gun to Leroy's (where i'm building my project) so he could try it out. He agrees it's just a fancy solder gun.

I've been seeing the laser welding videos popping up and was thinking about getting one to go with my MIG and TIG machines. But I was also hoping to hear a real review by someone that I could trust to give an accurate review.... not the manufacturers possibly altered video. I then looked online and saw the price, I guess I'll be welding the old-fashioned way for a while.
