Hiya!

I'm building my a hot rod from the ground up. I'm here because it will look like a longer than usuall T-Bucket. So far I have collected the front and rear independent suspension from a '75 Jaguar XJ6. It will be powered by a Pontiac OHC straight 6, backed up with a 200r4 transmission. I'll be building my own body... wood with fiberglass or carbon fiber over it. I'm about to start on the frame. I have mechanical drawings telling me how to use the rear suspension, but need help with the front. I'll post that in the proper forum later today.

Yeah, I know I have my work cut out for me, but I have some talanted friends, so I'm up to it!

Thanks for having me.

Welcome, I love your ideas and there are lots of great experts here to help guide you through it. Most of them are legends and they have built some iconic hot rods so you have come to the right place.

Chris, first off welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. I have been waiting for a post like yours since I joined this forum. In 1968 I had a new Pontiac Sprint with the 250ci, 230hp, 4bl, OHC 6 with a 4 spd and regret to this day that I later traded it in for a GTO. I embarrassed a lot of V-8 owners with it, I'm really looking forward to following your build. In a light weight bucket that OHC 6 is going to shine.

Welcome to the Forum Chris! Doesn't sound like you are building the Cookie Cutter T with this one. Have fun!

Interesting motor choice... and home-built body to boot...should make it pretty unique!

Welcome from Indy!

Chris, What area of Colorado are you in? I'm in the SE Denver area. Might be nice to have someone to swap some ideas with and since I'm going to build the back half of the body for my track roadster, would be interested in seeing your progress on building a complete body.
Tim
