Paint vs Powder coat

I used Por15 engine paint both inside and out on my engine. So far after about 8 years I
have a couple of small spots on the back of the engine that have popped loose. I just didn't
get it cleaned well enough in those corners.

I found I had to spray it on for the outside, just could not get a smooth finish with a
brush. It always left brush marks. Glad you had better luck then I did. It might have
had something to do with smoothing the outside of the block that I did.

As with all things painting and welding, prep is key to a good end result.
 
I used Smoothrite on mine. A smooth version of hammerite. Comes out like glass but you have to leave 6 weeks between coats. Brush on and leave.

Only took 2 coats.
