Gerry,

That's nice... No, Wait, THAT'S REALLY REALLY E_X_T_R_E_M_E_L_Y...... C_O_O_L...... D_U_D_E!!!!

I wasn't sure how the tank was going to look up against the car, but it is SFA ..... Simply F..... Amazing.

Well done and I like the mounts... kind'a what I had in mind.

I don't know how much advice you got from me (probably none, but I was a good cheering section), but that is simply beautiful. No other words describe it. How many gallons? Again, if that doesn't get a bee in your bonnet to finish your T , nothing will (except for our encouragement :kiltdance: ).

Gerry, picture the tank visually "floating' above the rear end, seemingly unsupported. What kind of mount would that take? Also a black body and frame would heighten the illusion.

Just thinking, John

I would say we don't want to start talking body color again. LOL What color are your calipers going to be? Do you have to take tires off every time it goes in garage> Garage looks narrower than tires.

Gerry, I followed you from the time you joined the forum and read almost all of your posts. This is the only forum I belong to. If you can remember when you first joined, you said you weren't a forum kind of guy. That's exactly how I feel. I want to compliment you on your gas tank, but more than that, you've got a good spirit and a good nature about you. I can't say that about too many people. I hope your car gets a lot of ink, your car deserves it, but more than that, you deserve it.

thanks for you kind words all. Apart from slicing the end of my finger on a cheap clamp its been a good day. Just added some closer pics in my albums including the sender cap and screen brackets and frame.

No lets not talk color again. Had headaches over the last change. Goes in the garage with 1" to spare each side. In fact I wanted the rear 4" wider than it is but had to make it the width it is just so I could get it in my garage. Compromised on that one.

I had the same problem with the Boston Strangler, had to remove the rear wheels & fit narrower steels just to get it in & out.

That tank looks fantastic Gerry, I'll have to get my rear axle diff redone now, won't I?

The chrome Powder is still very UV sensitize. Been told not to bother with it at this stage. Going to wait and see if it gets sorted out in the near future,
