anybody using the crosswind intake and how does it perform. how about pic of the centrs holes for old style sbc? i have seen them with the spacers for later heads and doesn't look to good. this is an air gap knock off

i can't beleave ya'll are at lost of words not even a you get what you pay for or something about China s---

Do you have a link or a pic? :dunno:

You mean the Victor Jr/ Scorpion/ Torker ripoff's????

Weeeell, since I sometimes make one-off custom intakes when the need arises for my customers, usually tunnelrams for the mountain motors, but others occassionally....I keep my ear to the ground, so-to-speak.
Am I impressed? No, get American made if you can. Everything is made in Japan and China. Japanese stuff is 90% usually of good quality, Tiawan-OK quality, China- Sometimes good, sometimes bad, it depends. I can't say anything about them....literally.
I went on about a 2 paragragh rant just when VegasBruce replied....lucky it didn't post. It just happened to catch me at the right place and the right time on the right subject. My compressor got all spooled up and well.....it didn't post.
But, I did go and stand in the corner anyway since I was a bad Metal'..... :spank: :spank:

wel i kinda poked ya but i don't get mad if idon't like what people say just blow it off even the beef between the the two forums all i care about is the cars the other is just just wasted breath to me after all this all about the hobby right

Oh,I was going on about the cheap mess they put out now and all that! Ha! You can look around at swap meets, boards, members of forums, etc, and pick up a Victor Jr., Scorpion, or Torker for about 1/2 that much in good, used shape. Also from racers updating their setups, going up in classes, etc.
Some of the new alum. castings are very porous, have bad casting lines and alot of silicon inclusions in the castings.

I can't and won't mention any names, but recently built a motor for a person. This thing had a vaccuum leak, but I could not find it anywhere. So I started checking lines and hoses, gaskets, nothing, nowhere. Checked everything agian. Put another intake on the motor, no leak. Cleaned everything spotless, put the intake back on....leak agian.

I plugged the head flanges and the carb mounting area with my leak test equipment, pumped up 15 PSI, and sprayed soap and the casting was like a sponge.....bubbles everywhere. I had used carb cleaner on the intake, I knew it was leaking but I couldn't tell where. It was all over the place!

Way to go Bobby.

We can all do our small part to buy Made in America which isn't that easy these days due to all the Cheap Chinese Communist Conscripted Child Cruelty Conflicting Capitalism Crap.

You crack me up... I can just imagine that couple of hours. Boy we get them, especially when we remember stuff we bought that worked first time.
Now its a case of new rodders negotiating around the crap thats on the market as well as the MAN who wants us gone.
Keep at it guys
.
Gerry

Yea Gerry...Rodders now have missed it. NOW, you get this little 4 banger, pour about 5 grand into it, she's wound so dawm tight if the tires bounce just a little, the thing will fly apart and kill 20 spectators, BUT to drive it right you gotta have some rap going thru the 15 inch subs, pants just barely hanging off the butt with the top of boxer shorts showing trying to impress me....No thanks.

I Love Good ole wild fashioned HotRodding! Give me a Altered or gasser anyday! The old Nostalgia drags... I love Them! Shanook!
