I am mounting a 16 inch Spal Curved Blade Fan on my T. I have the fan coming and Spal mounting coming from speedway. I just don't see how the mounting kit works from the catalog pictures. Anyone have any pictures to help me see the light?
Use the search forums button at the top and type in "electric fan mounting". there is a nice thread there that shows a very nice mounting if you scroll through
Yes, like Butch27 said, ditch the wireties. There are decent kits to get the job done, but if your gonna do it, do it right. Fab up a small shroud to get the most out of your fan. Its not totally necessary, but its advisable. They are not expensive and are not hard to mount. And are avail as a universal fit also.
also . . . . Mount the fan as close to the radiator as possible, otherwise it will spin the air between the radiator and the fan, and not be as efficient as it could be. Mechanically driven fans don't do it because they have so much more pitch on the blades.

Sorry about the previous post, I am still try to navigate this forum.
But here is the solution. I made shroud out of .040" 2024T4 and roll the edges of the hole and bent the edges 90*. I going to rivet it to the radiator frame with alum Cherry rivets.
Bead Roller: It is a sheetmetal tool where there are two rollers that form the metal as you crank it through. I am an Engineering Inspector in a large well equipped Helicopter repair station.
