Radius rod attachment points...

I was wondering if this would be a good idea...or not.......

At the points where the radius rods attach to the frame, instead of 5/8" ID crush prevention tubes going through the frame rails, use 1-1/4" ID tubes, with rod end bushings on either side of the frame.

It seems to me, that when using heims on the end of the radius rods, that this would give some vibration dampening.

Could this method also be used at the frame attachment points when using bearing-end shocks?

In a word, NO. By having the bolt mounted in flexible bushings , you'll allow the bolt to wallow around. that attachment needs to stabilize the bolt so the only movement is in the rod end or bushing ; the attachment needs to be solid ! the tube in the frame takes the load. Hope this helps...

Let me add something , when you sleeve the frame or mount , the bolt ,ball in the rod end [or sleeve in the bushing ] become one. The movement takes place in the end[ spherical or rubber]. Sorry , that's about as well as I can explain it.
