Rear end question

I thought I had a Ford 8 inch, but the axle has 9+ on it. This is a Currie housing. Does this 9+ go in a 8 inch.

Swampdog...The sure fire way to tell the difference is to take a 9/16 socket and extension and see if you can get it on all 10 nuts. If so then you have an 8" case and housing. If you can only engage 9 then you have a 9" housing and differential. The "blind" nut/stud will be on the lower section tucked up next to the pinion area. Hope that helps you out.
