I was day dreaming at work yesturday and thought of a new way to do my seats. This is what I had before:

And this is what I did today:

I gained two things. I sit lower and there is more room for a passenger. The back still folds down and I'll make a bag to attach to it for maps, etc. I wanted red matal flake, but they didn't have it.

Basspro had boat seats on sale I went and looked but my backside is a little to large, so I am going to get the seat base spirit has, it has the back built into it. Since my 27 is a spirit it should be just what I need.

Thanks, guys. I forgot to mention that I used the brackets off one of the boat seats.

Fred here is the motherland metalflake and glitter vinyl.

Thanks, but at $55 a yard, I'll get used to what I have for a while. I'll save the link.

:hoist: what are you using for seat cushions?

I had cut holes on each side of the bench and installed webbing. then I went to Walmart and got two pillows that fit the area of the holes. They come in a small variety of sizes and I just got the ones that fit. It's seems to be better than foam.

Ah, so its the first seat with the webbing from when you originally got her on the road, if I'm thinking right. Looks great Fred.

Fred I've certainly enjoyed watching the changes you've made on your car. It just keeps looking better all the time.

Fred just remembr a bucket is never done. But stupid cops don't help in the process either.

Yup. Very true and I think I have a take on that. When I first finished my car and even after the rebuild, I realized that it's the building that is the REAL fun. Sure, it's fun to hop in and drive, but I had the most fun planning and working on her. I remember when I first finished her, I took a drive, smiled and patted myself on the back. When I parked her, I sat back and almost felt sad. My thought was... now what? I think that is what drives us to constantly "tinker" and modify something that, in all practical purposes, is "done". Drives become routine, but memories of the build are forever.

Nice take on this sport Fred.Where do you live now Fred?
