serial number

I imagine it would depend on the regulations set by the DMV in your state. I bought a similar plate from Rooster57 here on the forum, after checking with my state DMV I stamped in my state issued VIN and attached it to my frame.

Those serial number plates are Novelty plates . Ford didnt use such a plate in the 1920 of any kind. The serial number was the block casting id number. ALL of those plates on ebay including the ones i have for sale, are Novelty plates to enhance the looks of your build after your sn is installed . Most DMV will not recognize these plates for a build they can only be used if the DMV authorize you to intall it and stamp your number on it. most states from what i have seen during my on line search will supply you with or stamp the frame at some state facility as a assembled or kit car. then after that you can use one of these plates if you want in addition to the states method.

wow!!! great info thanks!!!
