Went for alittle cruise tonight, smelled something burning :sad:,alittle smoke
coming from under the dash,shut power off,got towed a few blocks home.thinking it might be the resister? will take a look tom.

I think its about time you quit playing with the wires you have and break down and get a system that is designed for your car.I have American Auto Wire Highway 15 and its superb great guys there will actualy call you to find out if you fixed a problem.1-866-729-1328.

i let the alternator wire get too close to the header,melted it. Rerouted the wire,new resistor ran great on friday, Thanks

WHEW thats a relief happy motoring.I didnt mean anything with my post about American Auto Wite just if i had the problems you were having i would have switched over to a store bought.

Once a long time ago, we started a car and forgot to run a good ground strap from frame to engine, set a lot of wires to smokin real fast.. not a fun fix either..
