Vikings vs Packers

Being a hard core football fan I agree and I enjoy all the teams and the effort put forward by every pro player. It's hard to know what to make of it anymore but I will say this, then i'm done.

They booed the crap out of Farve as he walked on the field. They booed a guy that stuck with a team even when the rest of the players sucked and he never complained, he just went to work. He was paid for it and now he is done, that was a terrible thing to do to him.

At the end of the game Farve went to coach McCarthy and McCarthy just kept walking. That made me upset, the one thing Farve has always shown was the ultimate in sportsmanship comared to most players in the NFL and I have no respect for a coach who does that to anybody.

I always felt Farve owed nothing to anybody, he gave them 16 of his best years and was paid for it. Football is a business and when Farve left GB sales have been slumping ever since. In the land of the Vikings sales are climbing and breaking records every day.

Ted Thompson has lost out on a ton of revenue for the GB franchise because of emotions about Brett Farve.........kind of crazy hey!

I just like to watch Farve throw a ball......that's about it. The Viking players just love him to death and have given him a ticket to run things his way and it's working well. Combine that with an awesome team and you have a great franchise. Without Farve they wouldn't have the record they enjoy today.

Makes me wonder if farve was still in GB and he got sacked and hit like Rodgers has if he would be injured. The experts this morning say Rodgers held the ball too long but from my couch it looked like he held the ball because he had to......but what do I know, coaching from my sofa with a beer is easy and probably wrong but I for one like A. Rodgers, he is tough as hell and in college in he was great. He should have a great future if he doesn't get injured.

Geez did he get pounded, I would be dead if I got that many times in a 3 hour period!:wacky:

I could turn this into a 3 way battle but I'll just quietly sit back and give my Bears the rest of the season to mature and come together as a team. Right now I don't care where they finish as long as they win on Dec. 13.

I fear the days of qb and coaches being with the same team for seasons on end are gone forever. Not enough money in it for the owners.

I think the boos were a friendly boo like if I told a bad joke... like the signs from the fans that said "Halloween's over Favre, you can take off that silly purple costume."

There's still love there for the guy, we jsut don't want to admit it because he's a Viking now.

He was a Packer for 16 years and now he plays for a division rival. I'd probably boo him also but again, in that same way I'd boo a silly pun.

I know he's a great QB and I wish he was a Packer. If he hadn't decided to retire a couple of years ago we probably would not be having this conversation anyway.

Of course if he hadn't retired, Aaron Rodgers would be playing for the Bears, or the 49ers, of the Chiefs... but he wouldn't have stuck around in GB any longer.

Again, I have a deep respect for all of those guys because the worst of them is at least ten times better than me.

Even the division rivals Bears and Vikings... and those poor Lions.

But at least TENNESSEE finally won a game.

I've been a Viking fan since the days when the QB and the middle linebacker got in a fist fight over who lost the game ( hint, the qb said it was the offense). I also live in El Paso TX and always have. So, while I know that Greenbay is THE rivalry, my second favorite team is whoever is playing Dallas.
