    Windshield Posts

Thanks for the post. Was about to order the speedway ones myself. I want my posts and frame black anyway so hated to spend the $$ on the chrome ones. Pairing that with a garage sale discontinued frame and $80 for the glass puts about $325 in the complete windshield. You just saved me $120 bucks!

1992 10 bolt gmc truck axle under my t bucket build?

Also it would be according to the rear style of your build. If it's bobtail with axle tucked close to the body, or even a short truck bed, the width in my opinion is perfect. I have a 54" s10 with only 3 1/2" backspace rims and the tires are really close to my body. Also think about the 700...

    A bit more progress

You've given me a great idea. I will make my transmission tunnel on the table over the trans, and THEN glass it into the car in a way that it's removable. That will be SO much easier than stooped down in the car so much. Glad I read your post. Great work you're doing!!

    Seahawks or Patriots?

Best thing about the Super Bowl? NASCAR starts just a few weeks afterwards!!!!

    Scrub Line

I really like the Murphy's law version of scrub line best. Sit the sucker on bare rims the size you are using and make sure NOTHING touches the ground. (You could just use a tape measure but I like the visual). That Murphy guy pops up when you least expect it. Overkill maybe, but I still like...

    Racthet RIde

One good thing about RPM's adjustable batwing up front, it will give you 3" of adjustability. Luckily my numbers came out right and got the exact ground clearance I wanted, 4" in the front, and kept it in the center perch. Still could drop her down to 3" or up to 5", but I like it right where...

Which engine would you pick and why?

Always wanted a straight 8 flatty with 4 downdrafts on the side. No idea why except they're cool!

Have you considered a Corvair box mounted on top of your frame? That would allow you to get down low with the frame up front if you have enough room for it. Ron should be able to tell you if you do.

    hello from nashville TN.

These pics are the Kodak Tennessee body from our mutual friend. It is the 10" stretch. There are a few more pics on my build thread, but these are while I was still mocking it all up. My frame kickup is 4" inside the rear of the body, and when I sit up against the kickup, my legs straight out...

    AmericanGraffiti's Project Diary

Jim after taping it all up, is that just aluminum foil you used to cover it before laying on the glass?

    Reborn project

I don't want to post the link but do a search for "the hot rod company". They sell the T tanks with or without senders, and in different sizes. Also any original model T supply store like Macs.

Pan hard bar with buggy spring?

This has been debated a lot, but a chassis builder that's helped me out a lot put it this way. In harder cornering the shackles under preload will keep the rear centered but puts a lot of stress on them. If you run a panhard bar it takes the stress off and let's the spring be a spring, and not...

Got the girl out in the sun!

Love the front shocks. That's old school cool!

    rear four bar lengths?

Yes that's exactly the issue. I thought about mounting it as you suggested but since the shock will be fixed at the bottom it will still try to bind, unless both the top and bottom mounted horizontal to the axle. Then I would have to fab both top and bottom mounts at the proper angle as well...

    rear four bar lengths?

I'm sure Ron has the scan of my brackets saved in his computer. I wound up with an s10 rear as well so the ones in the picture are exactly what you need. He did them very affordable and he can change them to fit your specs. If you can draw it he can make it. Mine are designed to weld to the...

    rear four bar lengths?

Just on one other note, a 12" bar set level, will basicly move the rear forward almost 1/4" at 2" of travel. That's the reason I switched from buggy spring to coilover suspension. The rubber bushings in the shock have some give when the rear moves forward where a Buggy spring will try to twist...
