    My ProjecTee

Looking good D-R. I don’t comment much around here, but I enjoy watching the builds and the thought you’re putting into yours is commendable.

    Speedway Chevy Spindles

It actually helps prevent wandering! (sorry, can’t resist a dad joke type pun)

    Speedway Chevy Spindles

I’m not sure what they did with those, but generally speaking a radial wants a bit more positive caster and a bit less negative camber than bias ply and since camber angle is built in with king pins I’m guessing that’s what they changed. Caster is also built in to a degree, but it’s easily...

    Multi-pin connectors

I use genuine Deutsch connectors for about 99% of the jobs in my shop, the exceptions simply being when I’m trying to match existing weatherpack GM connectors or if it’s a size range that doesn’t make as much sense in Deutsch, like Anderson 50amp or other such things. Simply put, genuine...

    120V Electric Space Heater

About the most you’ll get from a 120V will be a 1500watt heater because they’re all configured for a standard 15 amp receptacle. You just can’t get a lot of electric heat from that small of a source, unfortunately. Since electricity is almost 100% efficient they’re all going to put out around...

    Blower motor T

    Very cool ride!

    Project Blue Bird

I’m loving the blue and I’m a fan of the big Caddy engines so this build is fantastic in my opinion. Keep up the good work.

Building a 383 stroker - Enter At Your Own Risk

Zinc is very important for flat tappets and is missing from most oils as pointed out. In all my old cars I run Amsoil Z-rod. It's a high zinc content synthetic made specifically for older engines and works great at protecting flat tappet camshafts. On clearance, I'll be surprised if it fits...

Building a 383 stroker - Enter At Your Own Risk

Did the machine shop clearance your block or will you be doing this yourself?

Spreadsheet For Tracking Your Machine Shop Costs

Nice spreadsheet. I take the simpler approach and just work on my own projects during my lunch break or after hours (I'm a machinist by day, superhero by night) :)

    Racthet RIde

If it's been posted then I musta missed it so I'll ask: What size/brand tires are you running?
  12. Wyo George

    My first T build.

I know the feeling, although I've stopped using stands and started sitting engines inside old tires and sliding them up under my metal rack. It's just as bad, but it's a bit cheaper and they take up a little less space than sitting around on stands!

    Thoughts...

Definitely a huge improvement! The valve covers really set off the look of the firewall, I love it!!

    GMC V-6 60 degree from the 60's

They were some cool engines, I've always liked them and plan to use one in a hot rod of some sort one day just for the unique aspect. They came in sizes up to 478 cubic inches with a bore of over 5 inches! They also had a 60 degree V-8 based on the same engine that was 637 cubic inches and yes...

    Who'd a thunk it

Indeed. My job is oilfield related ( machinist ) and folks are quite nervous right now.

    Why not

I feel your pain. It was -15 here yesterday, warmed up to 2 above today. There's a front coming through tonight, we'll see some 60+mph winds and it'll warm up to 30 degrees by morning..... I miss GA

    Three very different questions...

Thanks! Do you have a gallery somewhere so I could see some pics of your car? I appreciate the input.
