Not a fan. No disrespect but . . . to me it would just be a golf cart with big tires.

In the same vein I see a Company has brought the Myers Manx (spelling) back as a full electric.

Oh yeah, lots of charging stations in the desert... solar? Generator? Personally, I’m not interested in any battery powered vehicles. At least not until the battery technology really progresses.

Would build a steam powered anything before I buy battery powered vehicles of any kind!
My middle finger is extended for Al Gore and 3 Purple Heart John Kerry! Since my middle finger is up I might as well include Hanoi Jane in that salute!

I do solar at work for campers. The technology is there but still needs refinement. Has anyone looked up lithium mining? It's not really environmentally friendly. Still haven't found a place to recycle used lithium batteries. Long time ago my oldest sons girlfriend had a prius. She bought it used a few years old. The battery started to have issues. Dealer told her it would be about $6000.00 for a new battery. She paid 4 for the car. Another more recent was a tesla owner who paid 17k for the car and had it for a while till the battery went out. He was told it would be 11k for the battery. He junked the car. Last reason is my own...I don't want my ability to go from point A to B restricted by my charging cycle. Just my 2 cents...

Seems that most of us bucket heads don't like the idea of electric cars. I agree but it's probably going to happen eventually. At my age I don't seem to be too worried about it happening across the board in my lifetime! If you think about it, California is already having problems supplying electricity to its residents. Where are they going to get enough power to charge all those electric cars? I'm sure the rest of the country is in the same boat, more or less. Maybe our kids or grandkids will be dealing with it at some point. I think I just heard that Vegas will be having totally autonomous taxi cabs moving people around. Imagine sitting in the back seat of one of those and something goes wrong and the car goes out of control. You're screwed! That's kind if digressing from the original topic, but are there any gas powered self driving cars?

I forgot about Don Garlits, he’s got an electric dragster. Also someone on the west coast I believe Washington has one. Using that technology in a bucket could be a lot of fun!

This is just my opinion, and no disrespect is intended. (Some like chocolate, others - vanilla) But . . . to me an electric dragster trying to break/set a record is one thing. An electric motor in a T-bucket is quite another. Just sayin' . . . Quick? Yes! Cool? . . . not to me.

Not sure about cars but Walmart has several delivery trucks near their Arkansas headquarter they are making deliveries in. No mention of a human safety observer on board. Probably a number of lawsuit sharks standing by!
    Could be interesting.
