Front license plate

Here in Minnesota your passenger car, trucks, what have you are required to have a front plate but motorcycles and street rods are exempt and only require a rear plate. They're pretty easy going here.

"Here in Minnesota . . . They're pretty easy going here."

'Ja . . . dot makes guud sense, doncha know . . .;)

I just used 2 pieces of flat steel painted the same as my frame, bent back and attached on the spring retainer. You cannot hardly even see the backside and very cheap. it also hides the spring retainer bolts.

As much as I'd just stick it under the seat and plead ignorance, it appears that it is a $150 fine and will trigger an police stop. That may lead to inspections of other umm, "alterations" that may or may not be so legal in Wis. Luckily for me in Indiana, we don't have front plates and most cops are car guys and don't bother to waste their time stopping hot rodders acting responsibly - they prefer the ricers and the idiots that think they are "street outlaws".
