New Project in Madison, WI

Here is the front view of it. I built it over a 4 year period.

I like a Man that does it himself, buying everything sometimes leaves a lot to be desired on your own special build, so, do the posts yourself and that way you get just the right angle that you want :) Looking good so far, nice shop... :)

Thanks Ted, from you that means alot with your years of experience, thanks for the encouragement, I rolled my snowmobile over Thursday so the ribs have me set back a week or so just figuring things out in my head right now on the car as it even hurts to laugh! (Which I just did when writing that, OUCH!) But as soon as I can move a little better I will finish mounting the shifter then start on the posts! Thanks for the shop compliment just finished adding the section on with the lift this fall, on a farm you fix everything so we need a good shop!

Well I finally figured out what I wanted to do for the windshield I am putting two posts through the body with a rubber seal on the bottom of the windshield that the glass sits on and mount the glass on the two posts. I am going to use aluminum round stock and mill the channel on each post to accept the windshield then silicon (windshield grade by my windshield guy) the glass in. I am going to polish the posts and lean build them with a slight rake back that I like the looks of. I have the mounts all complete and holes drilled in the bottom of the round stock so I can drill and tap the bottom of my posts and bolt them into the mounts from underneath. I am posting photos of the mounts I just finished glassing the whole set up in. As so as I get the posts finished I will post pixs as well. http://s1355.beta.photobucket.com/user/toddboetzel/library/windshield post mounts

Wow: You move fast. Nice
Thanks! I am not so sure the last week and a half I have been functioning or should I say not functioning with two broken ribs so going a little slow. I am excited about the project so just keep plugging along.

I apologize, I need to post some more pix, I am a landscaper and this is my money making time of the year so not much time with the toy although I have made great progress. I am hoping to start it tonight, have it painted, carpet in, seat at upholstery shop, wiring harness in but not wired up looked a little intimidating at first but I should have all the necessary items connected tonight to fire the beast. Thanks for the thread it will motivate me to get some pictures up.

Finally here are some updated photos, I have almost finished the wiring then I will mount the seat it is back from the upholstery shop. Looking forward to taking it for a spin.

Looks great just wondering do you have a title yet? You know how Wisconsin is.

I bought a prebuilt for this reason they have a fender rule that the guys around Green bay have got around.

Look up vroomkrazy he is in the Green bay Area and has dealings with registration.
