Seat Ideas

I measured the rear seat in my 93 Camaro, it looks like it may be a good fit for a seat in the Bucket. The Camaro has 2 (bucket) bottom cushions and a solid back cushion. If I remember they are about 42" wide, which may fit in a bucket a little snugly, but I think it would fit.

I'm going to pull mine out of the car and set it in the bucket to confirm this.

The nice thing is there are usually 4 or 5 of these Camaros in the local Pick-A-Part at any time. I offered them $20 and they said if there is one in good condition I can have it.

I was thinking of the same thing please post back if it does fit and pics if possible. There's a boat load and camaro and firebirds at my area u-pull-its!

I pulled the rear seat out of the Camaro (sorry, no pictures), the seat back is narrow enough to fit in the T-Bucket body and would need some modification to secure it. It has to be positioned behind the bottom cushion so it doesn't stick up over the top of the body, and it isn't curved so it sits further forward than I would like reducing the limited leg room I already have. The bottom cushions have no metal support frame (just a stiff molded foam covered in fabric) and the because of the back cushion being positioned behind them, they stick out further than I would like (by more than 6 inches) so they would have to be shortened to be comfortable.

I'm sure someone might be able to make it work, but it seems like more work than it's worth in my opinion. I think I'll fab my own, that way I can get it to contour to the body better and be able to regain more leg room.

This is from the other bucket site hope it helps.

My two bucket (one piece - none folding) seats are 37" wide, bolted together total width, perfect fit, I cut the high back head rest off, so they are pretty even with the back of the body, better to cut a bit more (lower) and also make the backs thinner, that will give even more leg room, super comfy... :)

What did you get the seats out of Ted?

I'm using a 1998 Camaro back seat in my Spirit bucket and (when flipped upside down) fits PERFECT.
