Shifter for 350

Hi, are there any pros or cons on weather the shifter for a 350 is attached to top of the transmission or attached to the floor? :tnku:

I'd say its your preference. The type that mount to the trans like Lokar or Ginny you need to cut a slot or hole in the floor for the stick to stick up thru. The ones that mount on the floor like a B&M of Hurst require a small hole drilled somewhere on the floor for the cable to get thru. I got a B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter and I like it. It all depends on what ya wanna do.

Personally I do not care for the Lokar. I want a positive change between gears and the ratchet only lets you go one gear at a time. No way I can overshoot a gear or get into neutral or worse. I like the looks of a tall stick but it ain't that great when slamming gears hard and in a hurry. Its fine if your just cruisin.
