Speedometer cable and B&M shifter cable

I need to replace the shifter cable on my ‘23 t-bucket because the old one is stretched and I also have a transmission leak where the speedometer cable connects to the transmission. It is the bullet style that connects to the transmission and leaking around it. I was wondering if the b&m shifter cable and the bullet for the speedometer cable are easy or difficult to replace, or if this is something that I should let a mechanic do? Thanks

The stretched shifter cable that is on it now is way too long. I wonder if a 3ft long cable would be too short?
