Can anyone tell me the height measurment from the top of the leaf spring to the center of the wheel on a 6" drop axle from speedway? Im trying to get an estimate on how much ill need to step the rear of the frame.
That may be a little hard to determine since there are severable variables: the height of your spring package; the distance from the spring perch to the spring eye/shackle with full weight on it. Keep in mind that adjustments can be made by adding shims to the spring perch.
A 6 inch drop axle is a pretty deep drop! I would make sure you verify your scruff line....if you get a front tire flat, verify that you don't scrape the ground. I used a 4-inch drop axle, and I've only got 2-1/2" of clearance for my cross-steering pitman arm and the bottom of my oil pan. Something to consider from a safety perspective.
