crazy stupid horsepower

I really doubt 2600 hp, maybe half of that. My brother in laws Vette runs 4.50 and that 710 motor was on the dyno and made 1300 hp.
Yeah, when people say 'about', just before naming a horsepower number, I start rolling up my pant legs. If the motor has been on a pump, you have a number. If it hasn't, then you are pulling numbers out of the blue sky. Of course, everyone adds 50 to a dyno number. ;)

The car is a sled, it weighs 3,250 lbs, so it is doubtless a bunch heavier than the Corvette. I am guessing the Corvette to be in the 2,350 lb. range, yes?

At 4.70, if we use NHRA's factor of 1.6, that comes up to 7.52 in the 1/4 mile. It would take about 1350 HP to push that heavy a car to that kind of E.T. The car had a horrible stumble, as it left, so that killed the ET. Then we're relying on a calculator to convert 1/8 mile E.T. to 1/4 mile E.T.

On the other hand, those big compressors are capable of making hellish amounts of power, so the number might be fairly accurate.

I know a car that makes 3000hp and is a mustang with leaf springs and cal tracs ! Morris racing engines built the car and its sweet so this could very well be 2600 with those sized turbos.
