Raising Front End Height

An axle with less drop would gain you quite a bit more height.

Or a dropped spindle, if they are available. Could be made by a good engineering company for a reasonable cost...

I had the same problem. Banging my pans. So I raised the motor and tranny in the frame. Spacers in the mounts. Motor spacers I made from...hardwood! Tranny spacer available online. Got 2" more ground clearance. Now I did have to cut out the tranny hump and redo it.

Potvinguy, interesting and creative, last time i saw a wooden motor mount was when I was little and helping my dad put a flathead in a track roadster. As you can see the front motor mounts are the type that raise up (thick rubber disc to stand-off), to level out the motor when the frame is at a rake down, and shims in the tranny crossmember. the tranny pan is a deep chrome extra fluid one however so that doesn't help.

People always ask me to build them "temporary" stairs, I tell them "there's no such thing". With about 80% of home accidents happening on or around stairs, no thanks.
