Ok, I have all of the parts for the rear end, axles, gasket, backing plates.....oh and the 3rd member...:). Any way, how difficult is it to assemble (never worked on a Ford rear end)? Is it really as simple as it appears to be? Slide in the axles.....etc. Anything I may need to be aware of? I hope to put it together this coming weekend. Thanks in advance.

Third member first. Then just make sure you put your backing plates on before you slide in the axles.

Biggest thing with diffs is the pre-load and backlash. Take your time and get a good dial indicator and you'll be fine. Check it over and over again before you button it back up, and expect to have the carrier in and out several times during the process.
