How much wire . . . .

I bought rolls of wire and the only way to get a decent price was buying 100 foot rolls. I would
think that 25 foot rolls for the large load components and 100 foot rolls for the 18 gauge.

I used the Deutsch connector in both DT and DTM from WireCare.

DT, Installer Kit w/o Crimper, Gray - WireCare.com
DTM Gray Installer Kit - WireCare.com

DelCity has a better price than the Amazon link you provided ...... $46 vs $37.73 for 100 foot rolls,
but they also sell 25 foot rolls for $11.67

12 Gauge Marine Grade Tinned Wire - 25 Feet

To organize my wire I bought a plastic storage box from Lowe's and some dowel rods.

The goal for my wiring project was to have something that looked like this ..... from PotvinGuy

You guys are a terrible influence on a poor girl ! ! !

Just got done placing my order with DelCity and I'll now have my very own Indycars style Tub-o-Wire, and a wiring plan that'll look like Kerry's nuclear power plant control panel.

And much as I imagined from the get - go, even after the 15% 1st time buyer discount, it was still just over $1K . . . (after tax)

But I did get all the heavy gage battery cables and some nice anti-vandal push button switches so everything gets controlled via relays.

Worst part is . . . . I know I will have forgotten something . . .

Holy crap! How many t buckets are you wiring?

Lot of sizes you have to get a 100' spool, so if you plan to try to color code things, you end up with a lot of spools.

The heavy gage wire lets you get 25' increments, but at close to $4 per foot, it adds up pretty quickly.

Keep in mind that I'm using tinned marine grade wire, so there's extra cost there too.

Now IG, we want wiring diagrams soon, and they must be large and legible so we can easily criticize with our poor eyesight. You thought this was gonna be a free ride, huh? The trolls are thirsty...

Diagrams !!! . . .

Surely you jest !

I figure out what I want to happen, make a few notes, build a section, and when it works as I intended . . . move on to the next part, . . . rinse and repeat.

I don't even have a diagram for this project . . . just some notes and chip pinouts

But for you guys, I'll try for some sketches, at least.

The pink boards made me smile :)

Well this friggin' sucks big time . . . . .

DelCity cancelled my order today because they won't ship to a freight forwarder . . .

I guess it's back to shopping Amazon again. . . . :(

I did take a look at the harness that came with my kit, and it's a 12 circuit, not a 6 as I was previously thinking, with 2 flashers, the usual dash switches, and a horn relay, as well as the connector that connects to the steering column for the turn signals, so maybe I'll rethink using that, along with the push buttons & relays plan I had to get rid of the traditional dash switches.

G'Day IG,
Can you get the goods forwarded to one of the Guys here so they can sent the gear to you, reckon there'd be someone on here that could help.
Regards,

I don't know all the things involved but You can send it to me and I will send it to you if that is what is needed IG............I can give you my address just let me know........

And then they'd have to get it to the forwarder.

I think it's that some places won't ship to any address but the billing address for the credit card, which in my case is a PO Box the Virgin Islands (we don't have home mail delivery, so virtually everyone has a PO Box, except some businesses)

Were you able to speak to someone from DelCity on the phone?
It seems odd they would turn down that large of an order without even trying...
Possibly PayPal or Certified Check?

I did call, and talked to the supervisor of the lady who sent me the first email.

They don't do PayPal.

I can still order from Amazon, just not as conveniently as DelCity.

I'm going to see how quick they credit back my visa card and re-plan from there. I do have relays and relay boxes, and Blue Sea fuse blocks coming from Amazon. I may just use some of that $$$ that would have gone to DelCity and order the new coil and timing light from Summit to go with the 6M-3L ignition box that's already on it's way.

Summit never had an issue sending a pretty expensive crate motor to the freight forwarder when I bought that!

They're always happy to take my money, lol

Find an elevator guy and get 30' of loomed wire from him. Its numbered and loomed together already, makes wiring super easy.

Hang around for a while, and you'll notice I'm on a small island in the Caribbean, total population about 65,000, and likely no more than half a dozen elevators on the island . . . nearest elevator guy would be in Puerto Rico.

Around here, you use marine grade tinned copper wire if you want it to last.
